Timothy James "Tim" Curry (született 1946. április 19-én) egy angol színész, énekes, zeneszerző és hangművész, akit elismernek a munkájáért a színházban és a filmiparban is. Curry Warringtonban született és nőtt fel. Apja az angol hadsereg tábori káplánja volt, anyja pedig titkárnő. Amikor apja 1958-ban meghalt, Tim South London-ba költözött.
Tim Curry dráma és irodalom szakom tanult a Cambridge-i és birminghami egyetemeken. A musicalek iránti rajongása és persze tehetsége hamar megmutatkozott, mert szerepet kapott a Hair londoni színpadi változatában, és a Royal Shakespeare Company társulatába is meghívást kapott. A Royal Court Theaterben kapta meg a Rocky Horror Picture Show egyik főszerepét. Ugyanezt a szerepet eljátszotta a Broadwayen és Los Angelesben is, majd a zenés darab filmváltozatában is.
A film sikere után továbbra is színházban dolgozott New Yorkban és Londonban, olyan darabokban volt látható, mint az Amadeus vagy a Koldusopera. Kétszer tüntették ki a színészeknek járó legrangosabb díjjal a Tony-val. Rengeteget turnézott saját zenekarával és négy nagylemezt is megjelentetett. Számtalan filmszerepe mellett folyamatosan hallhatjuk a hangját rajzfilmekben, audiókönyveken. Egészen pontosan a `90es évektől ismerték el hangművészként is. A legfontosabb szerepei közé tartozik Joker hangja is a Warner Brothers animációs Batman filmjében, azonban ez a szerep nem lehetett sokáig az övé, mert lecserélték őt Hamillre.
Az előadásokon kívül a filmzenékben Currynek lehetősége adódott szólómuiscal-művészként is befutni. 1978-ban az A&M Records kibocsátotta Curry bemutatkozó szólóalbumát "Read My Lips" címmel. Az album többféle műfajt is magába foglalt és a dalok elektatikussága jellemezte. Az album csúcspontja az egyik Beatles szám reggae-verziója volt, az "I Will".
Az azt követő évben Curry elkészítette második és egyben legsikeresebb albumát a "Fearless"-t. Ez az album az előzőnél jóval ütősebb és rockosabb lett.
Curry harmadik és egyben utolsó albuma az A&M Records által 1981-ben jelent meg "Simplicity" címen. Ez a felvétel már nem fogyott olyan jól, mint az előzőek.
1989-ben az A&M piacra dobta a "The Best of Tim Curry"-t CD-n és kazettán is, a legsikeresebb dalokkal és két élő felvétellel.
A későbbi évtizedekben Tim főként színészként folytatta karrierjét, a mai napig rengeteg felkérést kap. Legfontosabb filmjei közé tartozik az 1996-os Titanic, az Addams Family filmek, vagy a 2008-as Holdhercegnő. Rengeteg szinkronszerepet is vállal, közkedvelt a szakmában. Disney meséktől a Barbie meséktől igen széles körben hallhattuk már hangját. Sorozatokban is sokszor tűnik fel, szerepelt például az Én, Eloise-ban is.
Következő filmszerepei a Ribbit és a Gingerclown lesznek, szinkronként pedig a Saving Santában (2013) hallhatjuk majd viszont.
Tim jelenleg Los Angelesben él Frank nevű kutyájával.
